Choosing a cue is simpler than it looks. Three things matter: length, weight and tip size. Here's how to get all three right.

weight
Most players are happiest between 17oz and 19oz. Lighter cues give you touch and feel; heavier cues add power and stability. If in doubt, start at 18oz, it's the sweet spot for a reason.
tip size
Snooker plays best at 9.5mm, precise and controlled. UK pool suits 8.5mm for extra spin on smaller balls. Playing both? A 9.5mm tip handles everything with confidence.
Still not sure? Tell us how you play and we'll match you to a cue.
